Treatments
Ayurvedic treatment is primarily of two types: 'Samana' and 'Sodhana'. Samana is basically a process of pacifying and soothing the bodily ills. Sodhana involves a process of purification, of uprooting ailments from the body. 'Samana' relies on oral therapy and easier means of treatment, but 'Sodhana' is more intensive with procedures lasting several weeks, designed to restore a diseased body to its original state of good health.
The 'Sodhana' treatment at Sree Sankara Ayurveda Vaidyasala is carried out with adequate precautions, periodic checkups and special care -- it can work wonders, and this is what patient after patient has experienced; this is what draws innumerable visitors from all over the world to Kerala.
